Greyhounds Record 100th Win at Home

Reception Honors Retiring Board Member
 
Mollie Wiseman, Paris Board member for 32 years, has retired and was honored for her service at a reception  held December 18, 2012.  Family members, former and current board members, Paris Superintendents (past and present), a Kentucky Department of Education representative, colleagues and friends were on hand to thank Mollie for her service to Paris Schools.  Click here to view the complete photo gallery. 

Promise Program Director Wins Prestigious Award
The Race for Education (RFE) presented its 2012 Valedictorian Award to Leslie Spears, Promise Program Coordinator, Paris Independent Schools. Created to recognize exceptional support by a volunteer or board member, the award was announced by Elisabeth Jensen, RFE’s President and Executive Director at their second annual Thankfulness Reception, an event created to show appreciation for the valuable time given by RFE’s local volunteers and teaching interns of Starting Gate.

Superintendent Receives Chamber of Commerce Award
 
Each year the Chamber of Commerce recognizes one member of its board who has served in an exemplary manner. This year the Chamber of Commerce awarded the "Member of the Year" Award for 2012 to Paris Superintendent Gary Wiseman. 

Paris Board Member to Retire
  After 32 years as a member of the Paris Board of Education, Mrs. Mollie Wiseman is retiring.  Superintendent Gary Wiseman and board members invite the public to a reception honoring her years of service on December 18, 2012 at 6:00 p.m. in the Board Conference Room.  We hope you will join us as we wish Mrs. Wiseman well and thank her for her service to Paris Schools.       

Elementary Raffling Paris Quilt!
The Paris Elementary Basketball and Cheerleading Program will be raffling off a quilt.  This full size quilt pieced together by Kelli Richardson and quilted by Venus Bailey, is made from Paris t-shirts. Click here for more information and to view the quilt.

Buy Your Christmas Tree from the Paris Band!
  Band Christmas Tree Sales will begin Friday, November 23, 2012.  The tree lot will be located beside Super America in the Family Focus Eye Care parking lot.  The lot will be open from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.  The lot will be open each evening after school and Saturday and Sunday until we sell out.  We will offer tree delivery service. Paris Music Department Presents Concert
  Join the Paris Music Department for a "Christmas Collage" on Monday, December 17, 2012 at 7:00 p.m. in the Siwicki Center for Fine Arts Auditorium.   The high school and middle school bands along with the high school choir have planned a fun, musical evening to celebrate the holiday season.
