AmeriCorps Workers Seek Donations for Bed Project
  Paris AmeriCorps workers are accepting donations for a community project that will supply a complete bed to families who are in need of beds for their children.  Items (must be new) currently being accepted for this project are as follows: twin size comforters, twin size sheet sets, pillowcases, pillows, pajamas, house slippers and stuffed animals.  The beds will be built by AmeriCorps volunteers.  Please drop your donations at Paris High School, 308 West 7th Street.

Garden Project Community Meeting Set for March 12

Garden Project Community Meeting Set for March 12The public is invited to attend a community meeting to learn more about Paris Independent School District's new garden project, "Feeding Bodies and Minds". The meeting will be held Monday, March 12, 2012 from 5:00-7:00 p.m.in the Board Conference Room located in Paris Central Office.  The purpose of the meeting is to generate community interest and support.  The community's expertise, resources and input are desired and welcomed.  The garden project is funded by a grant through Kentucky Green and Healthy Schools.   
Paris Students Compete in County Wide Spelling Bee

 

 
Congratulations to Cameron Zingg, 8th grade student at Paris Middle, and Kelly Nguyen, 5th grade student at Paris Elementary who competed in the County Spelling Bee held Thursday, February 9, 2012.  Cameron won the County Spelling Bee and will have the opportunity to compete at the state level!  

Paris Introduces 2012 Hall of Fame Inductees
 
On Friday, February 3, 2012, eight new members were inducted into the Greyhound Hall of Fame.  Pictured above from left are Billy Barlow, Scott Beheler, Tommy "Duke" Belt, Johnny Berry, Louis E.
