Davidson Named Teacher of Year
  Congratulations to Paris Middle School teacher, Ms. Ann Davidson, who was recognized as Paris Independent Schools Teacher of the Year at the annual Paris/Bourbon County Chamber of Commerce awards dinner held on Tuesday, November 15, 2011. 

Middle School Football Players Honored

Running back Marquaze Hill and quarterback James Clark will be part of middle school all-star football festivities at Kentucky State University on Thanksgiving weekend when they suit up for their respective teams. Hill will play for Team Kentucky, while Clark, who was named to the Middle School All-State Team, will play in the Kentucky East vs West All-Star game.  Click here to read more.

Book Club Travels to State Book Fair
  Nineteen students from the middle and high school book club traveled to Frankfort for the Kentucky State Book Fair on Saturday, November 12, 2011.  Macy Allen is pictured with Lexington author, Kim Edwards, who wrote The Memory Keeper's Daughter.

Paris Middle Afterschool Program Featured in Publications
Paris Middle School is pleased to announce the start of a new afterschool program, "Starting Gate".  The program is offered through a partnership with Race for Education, an organization that provides educational opportunities for young people.  Paris Middle is one of two schools in the state participating in this program.  Paris Middle was featured in two online publications, "Race for Education" and "Kentucky  Forward" .  Please click on the publication name (in orange) to read the article and learn more about the program. 

District Schools Collecting for Charities!
Paris Elementary, Middle and High Schools are each conducting food drives to benefit the community of Paris.  Paris Elementary is accepting non-perishable items through November 18, 2011 with a goal of collecting a total of 10,000 ounces.  Paris Middle and High Schools are collecting canned goods through November 17, 2011.  Food items will be donated to the local Kiwanis Club for distribution.  Please drop by one (or all) of our schools if you would like to help with these worthwhile causes.
