Gary Wiseman

My career in teaching began in Paris High School in 1989-90 as a business education teacher after spending quite a few years in industry (Rockwell International).  I taught for five years in the high school before moving to a central office position.  I have fond memories of the students I was fortunate to teach and it is a real pleasure to see my former student’s children now in Paris schools. My undergraduate degree is from Eastern Kentucky University, my Master’s Degree is from Georgetown College, and administration certificates are from Eastern Kentucky University.  In 2000, I went to Fayette County Schools as Director of Pupil Personnel before returning to Paris in 2009.

It is a real honor to return to Paris Schools and being named Superintendent in 2010.  It is a real pleasure to work once again with some of the most talented teachers and staff in the state.  My goal is continue the tradition of excellence that has been the foundation of the Paris Independent School System for over 145 years.
