KYA Delegation has Bill Signed into Law
 
Congratulations to the delegation from PHS for their success at Kentucky Youth Assembly.  The delegation saw the bill they authored signed into law.  The group was also awarded the "One Giant Leap" award for becoming one of the top groups represented at KYA. The "One Giant Leap" award is given to a delegation that has shown remarkable strides in preparation and improvement. This was the third consecutive year for Paris to attend, so winning the award in the third year was a remarkable achievement of Paris Pride!  Click hear to view the complete photo gallery and learn more about the event.

College Application Week Featured on Facebook!
Paris High School was one of thirteen schools that partnered with KHEAA to promote "College Application Week".  100% of our seniors have applied to one or more colleges this week!  "Like" KHEAA's facebook page to check out photos of this week's activities.

Door Decorating Contest Winners Announced!
  As part of College Application Week, teachers decorated their doors to celebrate their alma maters.  Congratulations to Mrs. White who won with her Georgetown College decor!  Click here to view other participants and winners. 

It's College Application Week at PHS!
 
It's “College Application Week” for seniors.  The goal for this week is that 100% of PHS seniors apply to a college.  PHS partnered with the Kentucky Higher Education Authority (KHEAA) to bring in the college road show bus.  This bus is fully equipped with laptops and workers to help seniors view their KEES account and to make the college application process easier.  Several seniors are pictured above standing outside of the bus and pictured below, working inside the bus!
 

Buy Your Christmas Tree from the Paris Band!
  Band Christmas Tree Sales will begin Friday, November 23, 2012.  The tree lot will be located beside Super America in the Family Focus Eye Care parking lot.  The lot will be open from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.  The lot will be open each evening after school and Saturday and Sunday until we sell out.  We will offer tree delivery service. Elementary Raffling Paris Quilt!
The Paris Elementary Basketball and Cheerleading Program will be raffling off a quilt.  This full size quilt pieced together by Kelli Richardson and quilted by Venus Bailey, is made from Paris t-shirts. Click here for more information and to view the quilt.
