Ms. Wilkie's Students Call it a Wrap

After weeks of studying the artifacts and culture of Ancient Egypt, Mrs. Crystal Wilkie’s Arts and Humanities students at Paris High School literally “wrapped up” the lesson. Maggie Patterson Finishes 2nd and 3rd at State Swim
Congratulations to Maggie Patterson who finished as state runner-up in the 100 fly and in third place in the 100 breast at the State Swimming Championship held at the University of Louisville. AOHS Students Learn about Aging

Academy of Health Sciences (AOHS) students participated in a "Sensitivity to Aging" activity and learning program. This program discusses the many aspects of the aging process. Click here to learn more and view the complete photo gallery.

Paige and Maggie are in the pool at the KHSAA State Swim Meet! Paige swam both of her events this morning and had a great swim in the 50 Free. Maggie finished second in the 100 Butterfly preliminary heat and fourth in the 100 Breast. Both finishes qualify her for the championship heat in those events to be held tomorrow at the University of Louisville!

Musicians Selected for Honors Band
Congratulations to these band students who were chosen to be a part of the Eastern Kentucky University Honors Band. They will be representing our school with a concert on February 23 at 6:30 p.m. at the new EKU Center for the Arts.

They Know They Can Dance!
Paris High School students in Arts and Humanities Dance class were given three days to generate an original dance that showcased creativity, movement, use of space and mastery of time and rhythm. Click here to check out the dance moves of this group! Members include Malik Washington, Jonathan Pearce, Alex Preston, Keyana Washington, Gwen Roberts and Destiny Meadows. The class is taught by Mr. Stephen McCauley.

Freshman Boys Basketball Play in 10th Region Championship
Congratulations to the Freshman Boys Basketball Team who played in the 10th Region Championship held Saturday, February 9, 2013 at Harrison County High School. The team finished as 10th region runner up. Click here to view the complete photo gallery.

Taylor Enlow Breaks School Record!
Congratulations to Paris Ladyhound Taylor Enlow who grabbed 32 rebounds in a victory over Riverside Christian, shattering a 33 year old school record. Click here to read more!

Yearbook Staff Announces Sale of 2012-13 Yearbook
2012-13 Yearbooks will be on sale beginning January 7th through March 1st for $40.00 each. After this date they will be $45.00. This year's theme is "We are PARIS!"

Paris Pride Days Announced for 2012-13 School Year
Paris Pride Days are scheduled throughout the year so that students can show their school spirit! Appropriate attire consists of Paris shirts and jeans. Jeans may not have holes or frayed edges above the knees. Click here for the schedule.

Book Fair Now Open!
Book Fair items have arrived in the Paris Library!  The book fair will be open this week from Monday, February 4 - Friday, February 8.  Shop extended hours (until 6 p.m.) during Open House on Wednesday, February 6. 

Open House Set for Wednesday, February 6!
Paris High School will host an open house on Wednesday, February 2, 2013 from 4:00 - 6:00 p.m.  Please take this opportunity to visit with teachers and pick up student mid-term reports.
