Ecology Class Tests Water Quality

Students in Mr. Evan Duszynski's Ecology class are learning about the quality of water and how that relates to aquatic ecosystems. Students determined the water quality of the creek next to school. They were curious to see what the pH of the water was and how it related to the water we drink. So the class tested the pH at a water fountain, then went down to the creek for the same. The results showed that they were both just above a pH of 7, which means neutral to a little basic.

Babies, Babies, Babies!
Students in Mrs. Georgeanna Jarvis' Life Skills class have discovered what it's like to have an infant to care for after adopting a "Baby Think It Over" doll or an "Egg Baby" for a weekend.  The class is studying child development and the consequences of teen pregnancy.  This exercise gave students a small dose of the enormous reponsibility of being a teen parent.  Click here to view the complete photo gallery.
