New Dress Code Approved

Have you ever considered hosting a high school student from another country? Applications are now arriving for the 2016-17 school year for the Educational and Cultural Exchange Program (ECEP)!  Please click on the links posted here for more information.  ECEP Informational Flyer  ECEP Promotion  Also, a representative from ECEP will be present during the PHS/PMS Open House on March 16, 2017 from 4:00 - 6:00 p.m.  The representative will be located in the High School Lobby.  Stop by to find out about this great opportunity!

AOHS Lab Simulates Real World
  The North Central KY Area Health Education Center (NC AHEC) visited the Academy of Health Science on March 31, 2016. Students were given the opportunities to simulate symptoms related to medical diagnoses of asthma, COPD, cardiac arrhythmias, and pulse points on the Meti-Man simulator and the laproscopy surgical trainer used in training labs at UK. Throughout the year, AOHS students have been learning about medical emergencies and anatomy. Today's lab put the learning targets together.

Students Design Coasters
Paris High School students in Mrs. Colleen White's Physics class participate in the Roller Coaster Design Challenge using their knowledge of the Law of Conservation of Energy to create thrill rides. 

PHS Sends Delegation to KUNA
This year's KUNA (Kentucky United Nations Assembly) was held at the Galt House in downtown Louisville. Paris High School represented Austria this year. Our proposal was to create an International Brotherhood Week to create empathy and fellowship toward all people of the world. The resolution passed through the Assembly and was endorsed by the Secretary General, meaning it "passed" the UN, and we were successful in our endeavors. 

Key Club Partners with PES
  Key Club members partnered with Paris Elementary third graders and their teachers to create Valentine's Day cards for the residents at Bourbon Heights. Key Club members and the PES third graders worked hard to make over 150 cards for the residents to enjoy at their Sweetheart Dinner.

NHS Inducts Inaugural Class
Paris High School held the inaugural induction of the Paris High School National Honor Society. The following students were inducted into this prestigious society: Abigail Cain, Symone Crumbie, Elizabeth DeBord, Marenza Dray,Kailee Finch, Laurel Gibson, Rayce Harrison, Zachary Jones, Nicholas Leer, Jere Maggard, Khatirah Malik, Amanda Morgan, Anne Park, Elizabeth Preston, Matthew Puryear, Scott Ramsay, Alexis Ransom, Nohemy Sarmiento-Galeas, Akhira Umar, and Kiara Webster.  The Paris Chapter is sponsored by Ms. Vanessa Wright.

Infinite Campus can now be accessed from parents' smart phones!  Log in to the Parent Portal then click on the "Available on the App Store" icon then follow directions listed.  You will need a new user name for this app.  Password remains the same.  Email or for new user name.  Click here for a quick tutorial.
