Students Recognized for Scoring All Distinguished
Congratulations to Stephanie Baker and Tristan Wilson, current 8th graders, who scored distinguished in every area of testing on the 2010 KCCT as 7th graders.   

Paris Middle School Holds Academic Pep Rally
  On Friday, April 29, Paris Middle recognized students who scored proficient or distinguished on the 2010 KCCT (Kentucky Core Content Test) as part of the kick-off to state testing week.  Good luck students! 

Sixth Graders Visit Hopewell Museum
  Paris Middle School students took a walking field trip to Hopewell Museum.  While there, they took part in a "hands-on" activity where they constructed an African quilt. 

PHS Cheerleading Tryouts this week!
  2011-2012 PHS Cheerleading practices for tryouts will be this week, April 25-29 from 4:00-6:00 in the middle school little gym. Tryouts will be Friday April 29th at 6:00 p.m.  All participants must have a completed physical before tryouts.   

Congratulations to Akhira Umar!
  Congratulations to Paris Middle School student, Akhira Umar, who walked away as champion at the 9th Annual Kentucky National Archery in the Schools Program (NASP) Event. Akhira, a sixth grader, placed first in her division comprised of 382 girls in grades four through six. Akhira’s score at the state event was 282/300.

Paris Middle School Celebrates Women's History Month
  Paris Middle School celebrated Women's History Month during March.  Students learned about women who have made significant contributions throughout history.  The study culminated with an assembly in the Fine Arts Center featuring a drama group from the University of Kentucky. 

  Abby Cain is Named Honorable Mention
Congratulations to Abby who received honorable mention in the Friends of Stoner Creek Art Contest.  Abby's work was displayed during the Paris Artwalk at the Public Library.
 

  MS Student Serves as Page
Tristan Wilson, eighth grade student from Paris Middle School, attended the Legislative Session in Frankfort on February 16, 2011 as a page. He was selected by the Family Resource and Youth Services Coalition of Kentucky
