Beta Club Volunteers at Food Pantry
On December 22, 2012, the Junior Beta Club experienced the true spirit of the holiday by working at God's Pantry in Lexington sorting food for the Christmas holiday.

Musicians Provide an Entertaining Evening

Book Club Attends Kentucky State Fair
The Paris Book Club attended the Kentucky State Book with club sponsor, Mrs. Jennifer Allen.  Students had the opportunity to meet with authors and preview new children's books.  Click here to view the complete photo gallery

Paris Middle School Holds English Fair
All Paris Middle School students, grades 6-8, participated in an English Fair (hosted by Ms. Jennifer Gibson) where they demonstrated their knowledge of Informational Texts. They took two articles and created a compare and contrast trifold as well as an essay. Sixth Grade Showcase Team Wins Third Place
Congratulations to the Sixth Grade Showcase team who finished third overall at Saturday's academic meet.  In the photo are members (from left) Lucy, Brian, Anna, Jazmyne, Nathan, Jackson and Travis.  Skylar and Kelly were absent when the photo was taken. The team is coached by Ann Mitchell.

Promise Program Director Wins Prestigious Award
The Race for Education (RFE) presented its 2012 Valedictorian Award to Leslie Spears, Promise Program Coordinator, Paris Independent Schools. Created to recognize exceptional support by a volunteer or board member, the award was announced by Elisabeth Jensen, RFE’s President and Executive Director at their second annual Thankfulness Reception, an event created to show appreciation for the valuable time given by RFE’s local volunteers and teaching interns of Starting Gate.

It's College Application Week at PHS
  The Middle School joined in the fun of College Application Week at PHS by decorating classroom doors to celebrate teachers' alma maters.  Congratulations to Mrs. Gibson who won first place with her MSU decor!  Click here to view other participants and winners. 

Elementary Raffling Paris Quilt!
The Paris Elementary Basketball and Cheerleading Program will be raffling off a quilt.  This full size quilt pieced together by Kelli Richardson and quilted by Venus Bailey, is made from Paris t-shirts. Click here for more information and to view the quilt.

Buy Your Christmas Tree from the Paris Band!
  Band Christmas Tree Sales will begin Friday, November 23, 2012.  The tree lot will be located beside Super America in the Family Focus Eye Care parking lot.  The lot will be open from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.  The lot will be open each evening after school and Saturday and Sunday until we sell out.  We will offer tree delivery service.
