Operation Preparation/Reality Walk 2012

Eighth grade students had the opportunity to speak with professionals from 18 different careers during Operation Preparation.  Students also participated in a Reality Walk where they were assigned a profession based on their interests and a salary based on their GPA.  Students traveled through different real world stations spending their wages on insurance, groceries, child care, etc.  Pictured above, Briana, Morgan and Kristen buy groceries during the Reality Walk.  Click here to view the entire photo gallery.

Happy Birthday Dr. Seuss!

To encourage reading and to demonstrate how much students and faculty value reading, the library set up a "READ ONLY" zone in honor of Dr. Seuss' birthday. Students and faculty were welcomed to the library to get comfortable and read for at least twenty minutes. Here, Aubre curls up to catch up on her reading.
