Eighth Grade Students Travel to Newport Aquarium
  Eighth graders had the opportunity to visit the Newport Aquarium on Friday, May 27, 2011 and hang out with sharks, penguins and other aquatic creatures! 

Sixth Grade Geography Fair
  Sixth grade students in Ms.Iris Isaacs Social Studies classes put together a Geography Fair representing countries and cultures all around the globe.  Guests traveled around the different world stations tasting food and learning about traditions, geography and government. 

Paris Middle School has Talent!
  Sixth grade student Zack Jones played the piano during the middle school talent show held Thursday, May 26, 2011.  Zack performed music from Star Wars.  Students showcased their dancing, singing, playing and instrumental talents during the show.  

Fifth Graders Visit Middle School
  Paris Elementary fifth grade students made the short trip over to Paris Middle School on Thursday, May 26, 2011 to help prepare for the transition to sixth grade in the fall.  Students met teachers and administration, toured the sixth grade wing, had lunch in the cafeteria and caught part of the talent show!

Sixth Grade Spends Day at the Ballpark!
  Sixth grade students took a field trip on Wednesday, May 25, 2011 to watch the Legends play at Whitaker Bank Park in Lexington!  

Shakespeare Play a Success!
  Congratulations to Paris Middle School's sixth grade actors!  Their performance of A Midsummer Night's Dream was excellent!  In photo, Titania (Shelbie Stamper) wakes up to find Bottom (Alex Livingood) near her bed and falls in love under a magic spell.

Honors Day set for June 1
Paris Middle School will hold an Honors and Awards Ceremony on Wednesday, June 1, 2011 from 12:00 - 1:30 p.m. in the Siwicki Fine Arts Center Auditorium. 
Paris Middle School SBDM Council Election
Paris Middle School is now accepting nominations for the 2011-2012 council at this time.  If you would like to nominate yourself or another parent / guardian of a middle school student, please call the school or send an e-mail to
bertha.johnson@paris.kyschools.us.  The election will be held on June 1st, 7:30-9:00 am, 3:00-4:30pm and 6:00-7:00pm.  We would like to have a few parent volunteers to help run the election.  If you would are interested in running the election please let Mrs. Johnson know.
 Eighth Grade Dance Royalty!
  Congratulations to eighth grade students Stephanie Baker and Michael Frye who were elected by their peers as Queen and King of the dance held this past Friday, May 20, 2011. 

Paris Middle School Advanced Band Presents Spring Concert
  The Advanced Band performed in concert on Monday, May 16, 2011.  Congratulations on an outstanding musical performance! 

Eighth Grade Travels to Frankfort
  Paris Middle School 8th graders toured The Capitol, Vietnam War Memorial and the Historical Society while on a field trip to Frankfort, Kentucky on Thursday, May 12, 2011.

Sixth Grade to Present
A Midsummer Night's Dream
 

On May 23, 2011, the sixth grade class at Paris Middle School will be performing William Shakespeare's, A Midsummer Night's Dream.   There will be two performances.  The first performance is for the middle school and is at 9:00 a.m.  The second performance is for the community beginning at 6:00 pm.  A big thanks to WalMart, who donated money to buy supplies.  We hope to see everyone in the community on May 23rd! 


Soccer Banquet Set for Thursday, May 19
The Paris Middle School Boys' and Girls' soccer teams will hold their awards banquet on Thursday, May 19 at 6:30 p.m.  The banquet will be held in the FAC Cafeteria.

Middle School Band in Concert May 16
  The Paris Middle School Band will present a Spring Concert on Monday, May 16, 2011 beginning at 7:00 p.m. in the Siwicki Center for Fine Arts.  Admission is free.

Middle School Cheerleading Tryout Information!
  All girls, grades 5-7, interested in trying out must bring a current physical before the May 2-6 practices at the little gym at the Middle School. For questions please call Tristan Brown (859) 707-6768.  Click here for the physical form.
