Good Evening Paris Independent Families,

As many of you are aware, I was part of a conference call with Governor Andy Beshear this afternoon. He and Interim Commissioner of Education Kevin Brown are asking schools to close, utilizing Non-Traditional Instruction days, until April 20th. We will follow the Governor’s and Commissioner’s recommendation and use NTI days through Friday, April 17th.
Thank you for your patience as we work together to limit the spread of this virus while continuing to provide an education for your children. The outpouring of support and offers to help in any way from parents, guardians and community members exemplifies why I love this school district and town. I know that we will come through this difficult time by focusing on doing what is best for our young people.
School principals will be sending out communication detailing our next steps for NTI days 11-20. I will continue to provide new information as it becomes available.
