Good morning Paris Elementary Families,

This is a notification that this morning at approximately 10:13 am, Paris Elementary was notified by local authorities that we should enter into a soft lockdown due to a warrant being served on an adjacent property. Staff at Paris Elementary immediately enacted a Lockdown Continue Teaching or a “soft lockdown”.

During a Lockdown Continue Teaching instruction continues and students remain in their classrooms during the period. This Lockdown Continue Teaching lasted approximately 12 minutes with no interruption to instruction.

While there was never any threat to Paris Elementary, we appreciate the local police departments placing officers at PES during this process to provide an additional layer of security and comfort.
