La Befana
Italy's traditional celebration includes the tale of a witch known as La Befana who arrives on her broomstick during the night of January 5 and fills the stockings with toys and sweets for the  children that make good choices and lumps of coal for the children that make sad choices. Students made her broom as a craft and had a tasty snack!  Click here to view the complete photo gallery.

Entrepreneur Fair a Success!
Our Entrepreneur Fair was a huge success! It is exciting to see our fifth graders' pride in their sales of products and services. There is so much value in learning about how to make change when given cash, the economics of supply and demand, customer service, advertising and marketing, profit margins, and price reductions.  Kids especially enjoy learning when they get to practice “real life” skills. There was a lot to be learned from our shoppers’ end, too. Thank you to everyone that was able to help with their small businesses.  Click here to view the complete photo gallery.

Mr. and Mrs. Claus Visit PES!

Each student posed with Santa for an individual picture and had a chance to share with him their Christmas wishes! We are happy that Santa and his lovely wife had time to visit with our students.
