One of our top priorities is active communication with parents and our community.  This website was designed to be a user-friendly communication tool.  We hope you will find the design aesthetically pleasing and the content current and informative.  Please access the site often for current news,

Volunteering Their Time

 Seniors participated in the Recipe for Life event that taught our 5th graders how to measure ingredients and prepare food dishes.

Acts of Kindness

 As part of the be kind movement, senior mentor groups prepared baked goods and took them to the local Police and Fire Departments.

Student Government

  Students spoke to the student body on why they should be elected President of their class.

as the eclipse passed over.

Senior Walk
The Senior graduates were able to walk the halls at the Elementary and receive congrats from the PES students and staff.

Beta Induction
 Ten sophomores were inducted into Beta Club by the current members at a ceremony in front of students and families.

Students Face Reality
 Sophomores were able to take part in a career fair and reality store where they learned how to manage spending.

Team Recognized
 Members of the boys basketball team were recognized at the monthly board meeting for their success and accomplishment of being state champs!

Students Advance
   Congratulations to Junior Tate Sullivan (4th in History) and Senior Elizabeth DeBord (2nd in Arts and Humanities/4th Language Arts) on qualifying for the State Academic meet after placing in the top 4 on their written tests during the Regional Governors Cup Competition.

Learning CPR
   A new requirement for students is to learn CPR before graduation. The senior class received instruction for adult and child CPR from District Health Coordinator Alishia Euler.

Students who meet attendance and grade requirements are treated to a celebration on Friday's where they are eligible to win prizes.

National Honor Society
Paris inducted several students into the Honor Society joining an already large group. Any sophomore or higher with a GPA of 3.5 is eligible.

Student Recognized
  Congratulations to senior Elizabeth DeBord who was presented a certificate of achievement for scoring a 5 on her AP US Art History Exam.

Veterans Day
   High School students treated Veterans to a program that included poetry readings,songs from the band, and a video thanking each Veteran.

Seniors Lending a Hand

Senior students attend the Elementary to help 1st graders with projects based on what they learn in class. Groups prepared posters, videos, and/or slideshows to present to the class.

Homecoming Festivities

The Senior Homecoming Court was escorted to the field by way of convertibles. The cars drove from the High School down to the football field and around the track. Student Recognized

Superintendent Ken Bicknell presented senior Zach Jones with a plaque for his leadership and achievement for creating the senior courtyard. Zach was also recognized by the board members at their monthly board meeting. 

Former Graduates Back as Speakers

 Two Paris Alum, Kim Woosley Lake '86, and Mike Robin '77, along with Denice Ritchie from CMWA came to speak to our graduating seniors about "firable" skills. This senior seminar class has speakers come periodically to give advise on what to look out for in their future.

Anne Park Recognized for Academic Excellence

Ms. Anne Park, a rising junior at Paris High School, was recognized by the Paris Independent School Board at their July 19th meeting for being selected to attend the Craft Academy for Excellence in Science and Mathematics at Morehead State University this fall.  Click here to read the complete story.
