Paris High School Head Football Coach Brian Washington Resigns as Head Coach

Paris High School Head Football Coach Brian Washington has resigned his position as Head Coach.  He will continue with his other roles within the district.  Coach Washington has served as a Coach in the district for over 20 years.  He received several recognitions during his two tenures at Paris High School including Class A Coach of the Year and Blanton Collier Coach of the Year.  

Coach Washington expressed his gratitude for the support he has received over the years. “I’m grateful for my time that I have been able to work with our kids.  I think it is time for a new voice to lead the Hounds.”

Superintendent Stephen McCauley had this to say about Coach Washington, “Coach Washington has been a phenomenal mentor, teacher and coach to our student athletes.  His impact as head football coach will be felt for decades here in the Paris community and beyond.  We are thankful for his dedication to our students and exemplifying what it means to have Paris Pride.”

Paris High School Principal, Joe Matthews added, “We will miss Coach Washington on the football field.  He loves this program, community and his players.”

Paris High School Athletic Director spoke highly of Coach Washington.  “I’ll certainly miss Brian because his heart has been with Paris football for so long.  He is an excellent role model who has given back to the school and the community.  A man of faith who taught the kids more than just football.  He was very successful in his time here.”
