My name is Monica Ballard and after 16 years in the Fayette County Public School system, I am excited to come back to a community that gave me my start. I am honored and humbled to serve as your new principal. I am very passionate about education and look forward to partnering with you to provide our students with a rigorous, engaging and high quality education. Most of all, I look forward to working with our students and continuing the strong history of academic excellence here at Paris Middle School. Go Hounds!
Throughout my educational career, I have been privileged to have spent 19 wonderful years as an educator working with students from the elementary and middle school levels. I have served as a special education teacher, Gap Reduction Specialist, a PASS Coach, an assistant principal and now principal. My academic background includes a B.S. in Elementary Education (P-5) and Special Education (K-12 LBD) from Morehead State University, a Masters of Science in Middle School Education with a focus in Math and Language Arts from Walden University and a Rank 1 in Educational Leadership, Instructional Supervisor and Director of Pupil Personnel from Asbury University.
I envision a Paris Middle School that will prepare ALL of our students academically, socially, and emotionally for the bright future that awaits them. We will strive to provide all students with a safe and supportive learning environment. My belief is that every child can and will learn if given the right opportunities. Working together as a team with our staff and parents, I am committed to helping each student achieve their very best. Together we will continue to provide outstanding educational opportunities and a culture of academic excellence for our students.
Once again, I am thankful to have the opportunity to serve the Paris Pride community. I look forward to getting to know you and your children as we start this new and exciting school year together.
